NTFS-3G for Mac

Why do they even sell Mac only Hard-Drives?

Here is a great solution to read & write to any hard-drive using your Mac. There is and should be no reason for Mac only Hard-Drives!!!

Heres what to do:

Navigate over to http://macntfs-3g.blogspot.com/

Download the latest version of NTFS 3G.

Run through its small installation procedure (Next, Next, Next type affair), once completed restart your Mac.

Thats it!

Now you can use any hard-drive you have to transfer files over 4gb to and from your Apple branded computer – too cool!

Snow Leopard – The latest release from Apple.

Although it is not a major release, it is still worth upgrading too – especially if you are using a newer 64 Bit Intel Mac. The Digital Handyman has been using/testing Snow Leopard for a solid month now, and we have found no problems so far. A few crashes here and there, but nothing unusual for Photoshop/Dreamweaver/VMWare use. Sometimes the DVD gets stuck and will not eject discs, but this has happened in Tiger & Leopard so its just a case of a quick reboot and viola!.
